A quirky little shop recently opened for business in Munich´s bustling Haidhausen district. Although the name Superrandom suggests otherwise, the store sells "clothes, design and things of value" that have undergone a strict selection process. "We focused on quality, not quantity," says Alexander Grots of Gravity. "The store interprets authenticity as the clear communication of a product´s origins and making-of story. Superrandom spotlights the designers behind the products. You can discover local labels here, as well as work by young unknowns. Our own creations are also on display." The interior design speaks of somewhat less precision. Pendant lamps by Erco are possibly the only permanent part of the space with an "ordinary" price tag. Ignoring walles marred by peeling paint, Gravity used wood, tile and other DIY products to make displays, a collage of materials that the designers installed and painted chartreuse to form a uniform entity.
